You can still have a hot sex life with Fibromyalgia

Published by lauralarsen at 7:40 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Statistics have not shown any link between a lack of libido with the symptoms of Fibromyalgia.

However, there have been many poles come about that state that people with Fibromyalgia have a lower sex life quality.

Well why is this?

1.       When fatigued it is hard to jump up and have a great time enjoying your significant other.

2.       The medications that are often prescribed can affect the drive of the sexual urges.

3.       Depression from pain and lack of interest can also affect this.

There is plenty you can do in order to have a hot sex life, even when you are dealing with these circumstances.

Sexual pleasure and want, is something that is controlled by you. People with fibromyalgia so often think that the fibromyalgia controls you. That is not the case. You get to control it. The entire situation with fibromyalgia is either a person learns to control it, or it will control them. You make the choice.

If you want a great sex life, then you control your world. Here are some tips, which can lead to a better sex life. Since sex is a very important part to most relationships, and the bonding therein, it is likely to help your relationship and marriage.

·         Have a warm bath prior to sexual activities; this will help loosen the muscles that you would be using.

·         Take some type of anti-inflammatory around 1 hour prior to the time you plan to have sex. This will help with the hot bath to make sure that you are not in as much pain.

·         Mediate in the bath thinking about the pleasures that you are about to partake in.

·         Get your partner involved. Talk with them about what hurts you in advance. That way, the pain will not trigger a lesser experience in bed, shower, or where ever you choose to have your activities.

·         Have your partner do a good deep rub down. This will help loosen the muscles and also relax you further.

·         Light candles (Lavender is my preference)

·         Have a small glass of wine (If you prefer and your medication allows)

·         Stretch before and after the sexual activities to prevent muscle strain and tightening.

I hope this helps. I can say that after 11 years of these practices, I have a great sex life. My partner is very loving and we have learned the positions and patterns that help us both get the most from our HOT sex life.
